Face

A lovely way to really switch off

Whether as a stand alone treatment or combined with more substantial body work; many clients find facial massage to be a deeply relaxing treatment.  Whilst this is more of a holistic treatment as opposed to a beauty treatment; a base oil suitable for your skin type as well as a choice blend of essential oils is used and the effects of releasing stress and tension in the face is definately beautifying!

When you think we largely live from inside our heads and that a large part of our brain is occupied with our face which contains all 5 sensory organs (eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin) - a facial massage enables the brain to really switch off because when involved with the massage it doesn't have time to think of much else.

This allows for a deeper level of relaxation, often more so then when other parts of the body are massaged and with deeper relaxation comes a deeper level of healing within the body.

This treatment can be enjoyed as a stand alone 45min massage and includes some decollletage, neck, shoulder and head massage.  A longer session allows more time to be spent on these areas.

A facial massage may be mixed and matched with any of the other treatments I offer in order to create a personalised treatment based on your needs.  Prices and Availability

The benefits...
  • A deeper level of relaxation
  • Our face is very expressive of the way we're feeling and a build up of stress and tension can cause cluster headaches, frown lines, gritted teeth, teeth grinding and a tight jaw.  Facial massage relaxes all 43 facial muscles thus relieving tension in these areas and also helping to soften lines and wrinkles.
  • Relief from sinus congestion/  pain.
  • Improved circulation brings life, colour and freshness back to the face.
  • Improved lymph circulation of the face helps congested and problematic skin by aiding in the elimination of waste an bacteria.
  • In the same way that working on the feet treats the whole body, the same is true of a facial massage because nerves originating in the face head and neck communicate with the rest of the body thus lowering blood pressure and improving digestion.
